My site is currently under construction. I’ve decided I will not be able to work on it fully until I can go part time at my current employment. Please forgive the mess and the image placeholders. You can click here to view my Deviant Art page, which I’ll be keeping better up to date until I have this one up and running properly. Thank you for visiting.

Who is John Glock?

Aesthetic philosopher, artist, illustrator & designer

I’ve been on this planet for over 40 years. I live in the USA. I have a BA with Honors in Philosophy focused on film, aesthetics, and psychology. I worked several years in mental health care, illustration, design, print, and film. I’m a skilled artist, illustrator, and picture framer. I’ve been told I make a decent carne asada.

I live a minimalist lifestyle. Mainly because I love the outdoors and wish I could be at a campsite every night after a day of hiking. Secondly, everything I own ends up having a simple purpose to it. Third, I feel better making less of an impact on the natural world I love. Last, because it means others don’t have to work as hard to support my chosen lifestyle. I am abundant in purpose if poor in comfort. It’s okay. I’m resilient. I can handle it.

20 years ago, this website was home to my art project, The Eternal Dream Tarot. No, I didn’t talk to spirits or predict the future. I loved that style of art, and if ever there existed a medium more suited to the meaningful connection of random images, tarot was it. It taught me how to communicate the invisible strings connecting what you see to the meaning it conveys.

Times have changed since that deck and that blend of intellect (code), intuition (free) and imagination (spirit) have transformed into what you’re seeing now.
